How Do I Check for Updates?

Garmin Express™ is an application designed to manage Garmin devices. It is used for product registration, device updates, syncing fitness data with Garmin Connect™ account, and much more.

Select your operating system below for instructions to install the latest version of Garmin Express software:


Windows 7 or Higher

  1. Go to: http://garmin.com/express

  2. Select Download for Windows.

  3. Run the downloaded GarminExpress.exe or GarminExpressInstaller.exe file.

  4. Check the box next to the terms and conditions statement.

  5. If needed, select Options to change the install location of Garmin Express.

  6. Select Install.

  7. Once installation is complete, click the Launch Garmin Express button.


Mac OS 10.10 or Higher

  1. Go to: http://garmin.com/express.

  2. Select Download for Mac.

  3. Open the GarminExpress.dmg or GarminExpressInstaller.dmg file.

  4. In the new window, double click on the Install Garmin Express icon.

  5. Follow instructions in the installer.

  6. Once installation is complete, close the installer.

  7. Eject the Garmin Express mounted image from Finder or the Desktop1.

  8. Open the Applications folder.

  9. Double click on the Garmin Express icon.
