Backing up Profile Information from an Outdoor Device

Certain circumstances may arise when you will want to save the settings, profiles and device totals. Scenarios where this might occur:

• Performing a master reset on device - all settings and profiles will revert back to factory default settings, and device totals will be erased
• Warranty or non-warranty replacement through Garmin - replaced with a Recertified device, thus original device will not be returned
• Back up files for peace of mind

When the device is connected to the computer, it will create a drive where internal files of the device can be located.

Backing up Profile Information

1. Plug GPS into computer 
2. Open Garmin drive from My Computer/Computer/This PC or Desktop on Mac
3. Select Garmin folder
4. Right-click on Profile folder
5. Select Copy
6. Paste folder on desktop or other easily found location

Reinstalling Files

1. Plug the device into computer
2. Go to Profile folder location on computer
3. Right-click on Profile folder
4. Select Copy
5. Paste Profile folder back into Garmin folder of device
6. Select Yes when the computer asks if you would like to replace the current Profile folder on the device
   

The profiles will now show on the device.
