Do I Need To Be Paired to Garmin Connect?

The feature requires the Edge be connected to a compatible smartphone with the Garmin Connect™ App in order to receive hazard location data and participate in votes. If the Edge was paired to the Garmin Connect app prior to riding, but the phone connection is not available during the ride, votes will be stored and uploaded to Garmin Connect when phone connection is restored.

Hazards During Course Creation

When creating a course in Garmin Connect, you will be able to see potential hazards. Enable the map layer by selecting Two black squares layered on top of each other and then toggle Hazards.

NOTE: After you have finished editing a course, any hazards along the course will still appear on the map, regardless of whether the hazard toggle is enabled in the edit screen.
