Installing the dēzl App
NOTE: The device's software must be updated before installing and setting up the dēzl™ App. See Replacing the Garmin Drive™ App with the dēzl App on Compatible Devices before proceeding.
The dēzl App is a free smartphone application that allows you to connect a compatible automotive device and a compatible smartphone. This allows connection to the dēzl™ Headset or the app can add additional live features to your compatible GPS navigator through your phone's existing mobile data plan, such as weather, traffic, Pilot Flying J myRewards, My Love's Rewards, and more.

Touch Install
After the download completes, the App is ready to open and be paired with your compatible Garmin device. Instructions to pair the device with your smartphone can be found below and in the Garmin device's Owner's Manual.
1. Open the dēzl App on your phone and set your phone to Find Me/Discoverable mode
- Refer to the owner's manual for your phone if you are not sure how to set it to Find Me/Discoverable mode
2. Press and hold the power button to turn on the dēzl™ Headset
3. Touch Ok on the dēzl App to allow Bluetooth
4. Touch Allow to enable notifications
5. Review and agree to the Privacy Policy before touching Next
6. Touch Agree
7. Press and hold the Bluetooth button 
until the blue LED flashes
8. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the pairing process
They will now connect automatically when on and within range.

- Refer to the owner's manual for your phone if you are not sure how to set it to Find Me/Discoverable mode
2. Press and hold the power button to turn on the dēzl Headset
3. Review and agree to the Privacy Policy before touching Next
4. Touch Agree
5. Press and hold the Bluetooth button until the blue LED flashes
6. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the pairing process
They will now connect automatically when on and within range.

2. Slide the power switch up to turn on the dēzl™ Headset
3. Touch Allow on the dēzl App to allow Bluetooth
4. Review and agree to the Privacy Policy and License Agreement before touching Next
5. Touch Agree
6. Slide the power switch up towards the Bluetooth symbol and hold it there until the LED flashes blue
7. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the pairing process
They will now connect automatically when on and within range.

2. Slide the power switch up to turn on the dēzl™ Headset
3. Review and agree to the Privacy Policy and License Agreement before touching Next
4. Touch Agree
5. Slide the power switch up towards the Bluetooth symbol and hold it there until the LED flashes blue
6. Select Garmin dēzl Headset
7. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the pairing process
They will now connect automatically when on and within range

2. Select OK to allow the dēzl App to use Bluetooth
3. The dēzl App will give you the option to allow notifications.
4. Review and agree to the Privacy Policy and License Agreement before selecting Next.
5. Read the warning and select Agree to continue.
6. Select Allow Motion Detection if you want to turn off step counting while you are driving
- This will give you more accurate health information.
7. Select OK to allow the dēzl App to access your motion and fitness activity
8. The dēzl App will then detect your Instinct 2 - dēzl Edition
