How Do I Connect My Digital Yacht Wireless NMEA Device for SonarChart Live or AIS?

To facilitate this process, two connections need to be established.

Your plotter will need to be connected to your Digital Yacht NMEA device. Instructions on how to do this will vary from plotter to plotter. You will need to consult this guide and select your plotter from the list for specific configuration instructions.

Once you have done this, the Navionics® Boating app will need to be connected to your Digital Yacht device.

To receive NMEA and AIS data on Navionics, the connection is automatic.

First, you will need to connect your tablet or smartphone to the WiFi of the AIS transponders or NMEA to WiFi server, then start the Boating app.

Go to Menu > Paired Devices. From here, you should see that the app has automatically connected to a Digital Yacht device. If it is not, you will need to configure the connection manually. To do so, follow the instructions from the Digital Yacht website. (NOTE: From this link, you will need to select Boating Navionics from the list of software options.)
