Garmin Device No Longer Syncs or Receives Notifications From an Android Phone

Android phones offer a feature that optimizes your phone’s battery by disabling or putting to sleep apps so that they do not run in the background. By allowing this to occur, the Garmin Connect™ app may encounter an issue that stops delivery of notifications to your Garmin device.

Checking Your Phone's Battery Optimization Settings

Instructions for several Android phone manufacturers are available below. Choose your phone and follow the steps to ensure that Garmin Connect app is not affected by this feature.


BlackView

Enable Auto Start

  1. Access Basic Services app.

  2. Select App Manager.

  3. Select App auto start.

  4. Enable auto start for Connect.

Disable Duraspeed

  1. Access Settings app.

  2. Select Smart Assist.

  3. Select DuraSpeed.

  4. Enable Connect.

Disable Battery Optimization
