With the GDL 60 Installed, how to Share Aircraft Information with Other flyGarmin Account Users
As the owner of the aircraft, you can choose to share this aircraft with other Garmin users. Once shared, these users will be able to see this aircraft in their flyGarmin aircraft list and view connected-cockpit dashboard information in the Garmin Pilot™ app. The shared user is also able to download the aircraft's databases while using the Garmin Aviation Database Manager or with Garmin Pilot's Database Concierge. *A subscription to Garmin Pilot is necessary for access to Database Concierge. Database purchases and changes can only be made from the Owner or Aircraft Administrator's account.
To manage your aircraft with users, you can go to the Aircraft Sharing Settings page from your flyGarmin account.
To Get to the Aircraft Sharing Settings:
After signing into the Owner or Aircraft Administrator's account on flyGarmin:
- Select Devices
- Select Manage Sharing next to the aircraft
- To add a user, select +ADD USER
- Enter the user's email they use to sign into their flyGarmin account. If they do not have a flyGarmin account, they will first need to create one.
- Select which permissions this individual user should have.
- Select ADD USER
This page allows you to view a list of pending invites of users who have been invited but have not yet accepted the invite. Once the user has accepted the invitation, they should then show under the Current Users list.
GDL 60 Shared Users with a Compatible Garmin Aviation Watch:
With a compatible Garmin Aviation watch, shared users will have access to the PLANESYNC™ connected aircraft management glance. This allows shared users the ability to access remote aircraft status information directly from the watch. Please ensure the watch has an active connection to the Garmin Connect App.
Viewing PLANESYNC Data from the D2 Mach 1:
From the watch face, press UP or DOWN to view the PLANESYNC glance.
- Press START.
- If this is the first time you are viewing the glance, select Select Aircraft to connect to an aircraft in your flyGarmin.com account.
- Select an option:
- Press DOWN to view the aircraft status, location, and sensor data.
- Press START, and select Remote Status to refresh the connection to the aircraft.
- Press START, and select Select Aircraft to connect to a different aircraft.
