Setting Up an Off-Course Alert on an Outdoor Handheld Device
Most newer outdoor handheld devices offer an option to set up a course alert or an off-course alert while navigating to a waypoint or along a route. This will result in the device beeping to alert the user that they have deviated a certain distance from the course.
NOTE: Your device may require a software update before seeing the option for setting up course alerts. See, Installing Software Updates to Outdoor Handhelds.
