After ensuring traffic is enabled on your system and verifying you are in a coverage area, allow the device to receive a satellite signal and a traffic signal. This process may take up to 20 minutes.
If you have previously received a traffic signal, you may still receive a traffic signal even without a satellite signal. In this case, the system will use your last known position to determine coverage.
If your 2017 vehicle is not receiving traffic information, check the system for a subscription. To check for a subscription:
1. Touch Navigation
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch Traffic
4. Touch Subscriptions
The next screen should display a HERE traffic subscription. If the subscription screen is blank, take your vehicle to a Honda dealer to be serviced. The Honda dealer will have access to a software fix procedure to resolve this issue.
Continuously updated traffic information is available in major metropolitan areas across the contiguous United States and some cities in Canada.
The traffic icon changes color to indicate the severity of traffic conditions, and is located on the map screen in the lower right corner.
NOTE: Some models include a traffic flow indicator instead of an icon. Reference your device's owner's manual for information.
If issues accessing traffic data occur after performing a map update, reinstall the update to the Honda vehicle. See Reinstalling a Honda Navigation Map Update.
