How to Edit Video Files in the Garmin Dash Cam Player

The Garmin Dash Cam Player has a trim tool that allows you to edit a video file. In order for a video to be edited it has to be in .MP4 format.¹

To trim a video use the following steps:

1. Click the Scissor icon 
2. Slide the video progress bar to the point in the time you wish to edit
3. Click Trim Before or Trim After
   • Trim Before will delete all video prior to the selected point
   • Trim After will delete all video after the selected point
4. Click Yes
   • This confirms you want to delete the portion of video in lighter blue color
5. Click Save

A new video will be created with the edited video file.
