How to Use the Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor (TPMS) with a Compatible zumo

The Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor (TPMS) allows you to monitor tire pressure warnings on a motorcycle as you ride on your compatible zumo. Note that TPMS should be used on high-quality Schrader metal valve stems only and is not intended for use with an automobile. Sensors are sold individually.

To get started, bring the sensor close to the compatible device and ensure that the TPMS does NOT have the battery installed.

1. Touch Apps on the zumo
2. Touch Tire Pressure
   • If the Tire Pressure icon is missing, verify the usage mode on the device is set to Motorcycle mode.
3. Select the desired wheel configuration based on the vehicle you'll be using
4. Touch the number next to the tire you'll install the current sensor to
5. Insert the battery into the TPMS within 30 seconds of completing step 4
   • The battery's positive side faces up

A message should display on the zumo once it has paired to the sensor successfully. If pairing fails, remove the sensor's battery and repeat steps 4 & 5.

After pairing is successful, follow the prompts on your zumo to set the recommended and minimum tire pressures. The zumo will display an alert when the tire pressure reaches below the minimum tire pressure entered.

Replace the sensor's cap. Use the included stickers to label the top of the sensor with the number that corresponds to the number selected in step 4 above. Repeat steps 4 & 5 for each additional sensor.

After installing the sensors to your vehicle's metal valve stems, rotate the vehicle's wheels by hand to verify that the sensors have enough clearance so that they don't hit anything or interfere with any equipment. It is also recommended to balance your tires after installing the TPMS.

The TPMS enters a power-saving sleep mode when the vehicle is parked and the zumo is off. Note that TPMS will not transmit data to the zumo while in sleep mode. It may take up to 30 seconds for the sensors to reconnect to the zumo after exiting sleep mode.
