Understanding Scorecards in the Garmin Golf App
Scorecards from saved rounds can be viewed in the Garmin Golf™ app. The following information will help you better understand scorecards displayed in the Garmin Golf app.

Hole Information and Scoring
Fairways, Greens, and Putting Stats
![]() | Holes that are a par 4 or greater track fairway hits. A fairway hit is when the ball lands on the fairway after a drive. |
![]() | The first number is the total of fairway hits you made during the front or back nine. The second number is the total number of fairway hits available for the front or back nine. |
![]() | Greens in Regulation (GIR) is when your ball makes it to the green in two stokes under par. For a par 4 hole, the ball needs to make it to the green in 2 stokes or less. |
![]() | The first number represents the total number of GIRs you made for the front or back nine. The second number is the GIR total available for the front or back nine. |
![]() | Putts are strokes that are made on the green with the intention of getting the ball into the hole. |
![]() | This number represents the total number of putts for the front or back nine of the course. |

Scorecard in Landscape View
NOTE: With the scorecard open in the portrait view, turn the phone sideways to show the scorecard in landscape view for more detail.
![]() | "Out" represents the front nine. "In" will be shown if viewing the back nine. The totals for the nine holes are listed in the column below. |
![]() | Totals are the stats for the full eighteen holes. The totals for every hole played show in the column below. |
![]() | The checkmark indicates your drive made it on the fairway. Left or right arrows indicate the drive was off the fairway to the left or right respectively. |
![]() | The X indicates that you were not successful in getting your ball on the green in two strokes under par. A checkmark would indicate a successful GIR. |
![]() | This is the number of putts taken to finish the hole. |
AutoShot Section
AutoShot information will be shown below the scorecard in the portrait view if a compatible device was used. For compatibility, see - AutoShot Feature on Garmin Golf Watches and Devices. Tap on a hole number in the list while viewing a scorecard to open the map to view shot distances and where the ball landed.
![]() | This shows where the shot began and the distance for the shot. Tapping on the shot will pull up options to edit the club and shot location. |
![]() | Tap this option opens the list of shots to rearrange the order if needed. |
![]() | Tap this option allows you to add a shot on the map. This can be done if a shot you took was not detected during the round. |
Exclude Scorecards From Stats
Toggling on "Exclude Scorecard from Stats" will remove a particular scorecard from having any effect on your performance stats. Choosing this option will also remove that scorecard from affecting your overall handicap.
Open the Garmin Golf app.
Select Activity.
Select a scorecard.
Touch

Select Edit.
Touch

Select Round Settings.
Toggle on Exclude Scorecard from Stats.
