Unauthorized User Error When Syncing With Garmin Express

If you recently purchased, or were given a Garmin device from another person, you may see an Unauthorized User message when setting up the device in Garmin Express for the first time. This occurs when there are activity or wellness files from another user detected on the device.

To resolve this issue, you will need to restore the device to defaults and delete any files that Garmin Express is unable to sync to Garmin Connect.
