Honda Gold Wing Navi Map Update not Installing Correctly
If the Honda Gold Wing Navi is not reading the map update from the SD Card or CF card, the device will need a hard reset to force it to look for the new data.
Note for 2012-2017 models: Ensure you are removing the existing map update SD card and inserting the replacement into the same slot. Putting the map update card in the Trip Planner SD card slot will prevent the update from installing.
To Hard Reset the Device:
- Eject the SD/CF Card
- Take the navigation box off of the wall in the trunk but do not disconnect any cables
- Press and continue to hold the reset switch in the small hole on the device
- See your owner's manual for instructions to access the reset switch
- Turn the ignition switch on
- When "Holding" appears on the screen insert the new SD/CF Card into the device
- "Loader and Updating from Memory Card" will now display on the device
- Release the reset button
The maps will now be updated on the Honda Gold Wing Navi.
