Third Party Radar Use on a Garmin Chartplotter

Garmin chartplotters use a proprietary communication protocol to communicate with a radar. This protocol is not available to other manufacturers and therefore, will prevent any third-party radars from functioning with Garmin chartplotters. Only Garmin manufactured radar devices will be able to communicate with a Garmin chartplotter.
