Transferring Stored Heart Rate From an HRM-Swim or HRM-Tri to a Compatible Device at the End of an Activity

Stored heart rate data will automatically be transferred from a HRM-Swim or HRM-Tri to a compatible watch at the end of an activity when "Save" is selected on the watch. The transfer of data only occurs if there is a least 30 consecutive seconds of missing heart rate data during an activity, as would occur while swimming. The watch displays a download progress message as the data is downloaded.

It is possible to skip downloading stored heart rate data by selecting "Back", on the watch, while the watch is searching for the heart rate monitor. The watch will then save the activity without the stored heart rate information.

It is possible to retrieve stored heart rate data later. For instructions on how to retrieve the information please see Related Content.

Garmin devices capable of receiving stored heart rate data are: Descent Mk1, epix, fenix 3, fenix 3 HR, fenix 5, fenix 5S, fenix 5X, fenix Chronos, Forerunner 920XT, Forerunner 935, quatix 3 and tactix Bravo.
