SiriusXM No Weather/No Radio
If you are not receiving weather or radio from a SiriusXM compatible device, there are a few things to check.
Check if the antenna is compatible with your chartplotter. To check for compatibility, click here.
Make certain you have an active SiriusXM weather/radio subscription. For instructions on activating a subscription, click here.
Ensure the software on the chartplotter is current. For instructions on updating, click here.
If the antenna is connected to the chartplotter over NMEA 2000, check if the antenna is being recognized by the chartplotter. If the antenna does not appear in the device list, troubleshoot the NMEA 2000 Network. For instructions on troubleshooting NMEA 2000, click here. To check if the chartplotter sees the antenna, follow these steps:
With the chartplotter/sounder powered ON, press the Home button
Choose Configure
Choose Communications
Choose NMEA 2000 Setup
Choose Device List
Ensure that the antenna appears in this list
If the antenna is connected to the chartplotter over Garmin Marine Network, check if the antenna is being recognized by the chartplotter. If the antenna does not appear in the device list, check connections or try a new Marine Network cable. To check if the chartplotter sees the antenna, follow these steps:
With the chartplotter/sounder powered ON, press the Home button
Select Settings > Communications > Marine Network
Ensure that the antenna appears in this list
Some antennas use a power/audio module. Check the status lights on the module to ensure it is working properly.
No LED= Power/audio module is not powered.
Red LED= Power/audio module is powered but the antenna is not detected or powered.
Green LED= Power/audio module and the antenna are powered.
