Opening inReach Sync on a Windows or Mac Computer

Once the inReach® Sync program has been downloaded and installed, you need to launch the program to use it. 

NOTE: This article only covers launching the inReach Sync application. If you need to install inReach Sync, see - Updating inReach Firmware and Syncing Account Changes with inReach Sync.

Opening inReach Sync on a Mac Computer

  1. Open the Finder.
  2. Open Applications.
  3. Double-click the inReach Sync program.

Opening inReach Sync on a Windows Computer

Windows 10

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Open the Garmin folder.
  3. Double-click the inReach Sync program.

Windows 8

  1. Press the Windows Key on the keyboard.
  2. Type "inReach Sync."
    NOTE: There is no field to type "inReach Sync" in, just start typing to search.
  3. Double-click the inReach Sync program.

Windows 8.1

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Open the Garmin folder.
  3. Double-click the inReach Sync program.

Windows 7

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Select All Programs.
  3. Open the Garmin folder.
  4. Double-click the inReach Sync program.

Windows Vista

NOTE: inReach Sync can work with Windows Vista, but it is not recommend for use. 

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Open the Garmin folder.
  3. Double-click the inReach Sync program.
