Using the Included Wired Remote Control with the MS-BB100

The wired remote control that comes with the MS-BB100 is required for the stereo to function properly. The length of wire on the included remote cannot be extended or shortened.

Note: Unless an MS-BB100 black box is connected to a compatible chartplotter over NMEA 2000, the included round remote is the only way to control the black box.  

When selecting a mounting location for the remote control, observe these considerations:

• The remote control must be mounted in a location where there is at least 70 millimeters (2.75 inches) of clearance behind the mounting surface
• If the remote control is mounted outside the cabin, it must be mounted in a location well above the waterline where it is not submerged
• If the remote control is mounted outside the boat, it should be mounted in a location where it will not be damaged by a dock, piling, or other pieces of equipment
