Updating the Garmin Speak and Garmin Speak Plus

Important: The Garmin Speak App has been replaced by the Garmin Drive App. To continue using the Garmin Speak along with more enhanced benefits, please visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) to download the Garmin Drive App.

The Garmin Drive App will receive automatic updates through your phone’s operating system. To manually check for updates, search for the app in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), which will state whether an update is available. Your phone’s settings will determine whether this update is downloaded over a mobile connection or over Wi-Fi only.

If a software update becomes available, the device will automatically install it and display the message "updating software" the next time it is turned on. It must be connected to power and turned on throughout the update process. At the end of the update, the device will automatically reboot.
