Using a GPS 19x HVS Antenna with a GPSMAP 8xxx Series

The GPSMAP 8xxx series chartplotters are compatible with the GPS 19x HVS antenna. The antenna would need to be wired to the chartplotter's NMEA 0183 input/output wire ports and the port type changed to NMEA High Speed.

To wire the GPS antenna, follow the wiring diagram in the Installation Manual

When complete, if you experience difficulties receiving GPS data

• Check that the port type has been changed to NMEA High Speed.
• Review wiring and ensure opposite wires are not touching 
• All wiring connections are secure and accurate.
