Replacing the Temperature Probe in a Transducer

The AirMar B744 series transducer has a temperature probe built into the transducer. The transducer does not need to be replaced if the temperature probe goes out on the unit. Airmar has created a junction box and insert kit. The kit allows the replacement of the temperature probe and the speed sensor if either one should quit functioning. If the temperature probe on an 8-pin Garmin transducer goes out, an Airmar T80 Water Temperature Probe can be installed in line with the transducer to restore temperature. This accessory pigtails into the existing transducer cable. The temperature sensor piece mounts to the vessel's exterior.
