How to Use Cloud Storage in the Garmin ShotView app

The Garmin ShotView™ app helps keep record of your sessions shot with your Garmin Xero® C1 Pro chronograph. Cloud storage keeps a digital back up of all your synced session. When moving from one phone to another or even wanting to view your sessions on multiple devices with cloud storage enabled, sessions synced with the cloud will get pulled from the cloud to your new phone or tablet.

Note: If sessions are synced to the app but not to cloud storage if the app is removed those sessions can not be recovered.


Enabling Cloud Storage

When you login into the ShotView app you are prompted to enable cloud storage. See image below.

If this step was skipped when logging in, you can enable at any time in the app. In the ShotView app from the home screen,

  1. Select the account profile in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Cloud Storage. 
  3. Select Enable Cloud Storage.

Force Cloud Sync

Before transferring to a new phone or tablet you can force a cloud sync to ensure that all of your most recent sessions have been sent to the cloud. In the ShotView app from the home screen,

  1. Select the account profile in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Force Cloud Sync.
  3. All the sessions in already in the app will sync to the cloud.

Retrieving Sessions From the Cloud

If you are moving to a new phone or looking to view your sessions on another phone or tablet you can pull your sessions from the cloud to your new device.

  1. Login to the ShotView app with the same Garmin credentials used to sync to the cloud.
  2. When prompted Enable Cloud Storage.
  3. Once enabled the app will sync sessions stored in the cloud. When successfully downloaded you will see the below message in the app.
