Proximity Alarm Setup Instructions for GPSMAP 62, 64, 65 or 78

The Proximity Alarm feature will alert you when you are within proximity to a specific location. For example, if you set a proximity alarm for a waypoint with a radius of two miles, the GPSMAP® 62, 64, 65, and 78 series devices give an alert once you are two miles from the waypoint.

To setup the proximity alarm:

1. Press the Menu button twice
2. Select Proximity Alarms¹
3. Touch Create Alarm
4. Select the specific location
5. Choose Use from the Map page
6. Insert radius measurement for location the device will alert at

The device will now alert when within range of the location.

¹The radius measurement (feet, yards, miles) can be changed before entering the proximity alarm. Refer to Related below for further instructions.
