Unable to View BirdsEye Imagery on the Garmin DriveTrack Devices

If BirdsEye Imagery is not appearing on the Map page of your Garmin DriveTrack™ 70 or Garmin DriveTrack™ 71 GPS navigator, the BirdsEye may not be enabled or additional settings might need to be checked. 

View BirdsEye Imagery Requirements:

  • Software is update to date.

  • BirdsEye Imagery is installed and enabled.

  • Map view is in 2D mode.

  • Custom Maps is enabled.

If the above criteria is met, BirdsEye should be visible on the Map page. If you are still having issues viewing your BirdsEye imagery, the imagery may need to be redownloaded and installed to your device.

Updating the Device's Software


Ensure BirdsEye is Enabled on the Device

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Map & Vehicle
  3. Tap Configure Maps
  4. Locate Digital Globe and tap the box so that a green check appears

Setting Map View to 2D

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Map & Vehicle
  3. Tap Driving Map View (Garmin DriveTrack 70) or Orientation (Garmin DriveTrack 71)
  4. Tap either Track Up or North Up
  5. Tap Save

Enabling Custom Maps

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Map & Vehicle
  3. Tap Map Layers
  4. Locate Custom Maps and tap the box so that a green check appears
