Using a separate temperature probe for a transducer

A separate temperature probe can be purchased for use in conjunction with a transducer. The temperature probe can be used with any Garmin Sonar compatible device that is using a regular transducer (not an Intelliducer or a Smart Transducer). A temperature probe can be used in two different situations:

1. Probe may be used with a transducer that does not have temperature capability.
2. Probe may be used if temperature sensor has failed in an existing transducer.

Garmin offers two different temperature probes. One uses a feature called ID and the other does not. To know which temperature probe to purchase, please review the related FAQ.
