Why Am I Not Seeing Animated Workouts on My Garmin Watch?

Compatible Garmin® watches support animated videos for certain types of workouts. The videos will show proper form and movement for the workouts. If you are having trouble finding or viewing an animated workout, try the steps outlined below.

For watches that support animated workouts, and supported activity types, see - Garmin Connect: Using Animated Workouts on a Watch.

Viewing the Animated Workout

Animated workouts will show during active periods, not during rest periods, of workouts. For some workouts, you may see the animated workouts screen automatically during the active period, otherwise you may need to scroll through your data screens to find the animation.

Update Software

It is important to make sure your watch has the latest software version. To make sure your watch is up to date, you can use Garmin Express™.

Animated Workouts Are Not Enabled

Workout videos need to be enabled to be viewed. Generally, the setting for enabling workout videos will be in the watch's settings for the activity type being done. To make sure you have animated workouts enabled, refer to your owner's manual.
