Force™ Trolling Motor - Utilizing Power Pole Integration for Smart Anchor

On boats utilizing both Power Pole and the Force™ Trolling Motor, the system will now automatically utilize the best available anchor technology based upon the depth provided by a sonar source.

Smart Anchor Lock requirements

A specific requirement for this feature is that the Power-Pole system is utilizing a C-Monster 2 (CM2) Gateway to bridge information to NMEA 2000 for our system to utilize. In addition to the CM2, the vessel must be equipped with the following:

  • Dual Power-Pole Anchors

  • Force Trolling Motor

  • Compatible chartplotter/MFD

  • Depth source

Pole Pole Install

Sequence of events

  1. With Smart Anchor Lock Enabled, the user enables Trolling Motor Anchor Lock from Foot Pedal, Remote, or MFD

  2. Trolling motor engages Anchor Lock to stabilize position

  3. System determines the current Power Pole Status (Deployed vs Stowed)

  4. Sonar is used to determine if water is shallow enough to deploy Power Pole

  5. Power Poles deploy

  6. System transitions to Anchor Lock via Power-Pole mode and reduces trolling prop speed to 0
