Navionics Boating: Night Mode

The Navionics® Boating app offers the option to switch to a low light-optimized color palette that is easier to see at night. 

Map Color Mode

Change your map coloring based on your preferences. Tap the Map Options icon Map Options icon or tap Menu and select Map Options.

Map Color Mode changes only the color palette of the maps and not your menu appearance, which is based independently on your device settings (see below). 

Day = Map displays in vivid color.

Night = Map displays in muted tones and colors making it easier to see at night. 

or

Auto (default) = Your map color will display or change based solely on your device settings.

Change to Dark or Light Mode in Your Device Settings

Apple Devices
  1. Go to device Settings
  2. Tap Display & Brightness
  3. Choose between Light, Dark or enable Automatic

Automatic will change your display settings to Dark at sunset, and Light at sunrise.


Android Devices
  1. Go to device Settings
  2. Select Display
  3. Toggle on/off Dark mode (or Dark theme)

These steps may vary depending on your Android version. 

NOTE: This option is not available on devices running Android 9 or lower.
