Automotive Device Doesn't Have any Sound

There are a few settings that can be checked if your automotive device does not have any sound. The first thing to check is that the volume is set to an audible level.

To Check the Volume:

  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch Device
  3. Touch Sound & notification
  4. Confirm the desired volume for any that apply:
    • Navigation
    • Media
    • In-Call
    • Alarm
    • Notification

The volume should now be set to the desired level.

If the device is still not providing spoken instructions at this point, you will need to change the voice to ensure that the voice language selected on the device is functional.


To Change the Voice Language:

  1. Touch Settings
  2. Touch Map & Vehicle
  3. Touch Voice Language
  4. Touch the desired voice language

The device will now speak the selected voice language.
