Link the Accounts
Setting up your Garmin Connect™ account to wirelessly sync your courses from RWGPS can be done on the web. Follow the instructions below to enable this feature.
Log in to your www.ridewithgps.com account, preferably from a personal computer. If using a mobile device, use the desktop version of the website.
Select the dropdown arrow, top-right corner next to RWGPS logo / your profile picture.
Select Settings.
Select Connected Services, from the navigation menu on the left, then select Connect with Garmin.
Enter your Garmin Connect credentials in the spaces provided.
Once logged in, ensure the Courses button is toggled on to enable syncing of Pinned courses to Connect.
Select Save and Agree to finish the setup.
Once linked, you can use the RWGPS app or web browser to send routes. The routes will appear on your compatible Garmin device and in your favorites list of courses in Garmin Connect.
NOTE: Older pinned routes will need to be un-pinned then re-pinned in order to sync to your Garmin device.
Using the Ride With GPS Connect IQ App to Send Routes
Installing the Ride with GPS Connect IQ app on your compatible Edge® cycling computer will allow you to download recent or pinned routes directly on your device. You can see which devices are compatible by visiting the compatibility list in the Connect IQ app store page at the following link: Ride with GPS.
NOTE: Enabling this feature will only prompt new pinned routes to be synced. Older Pinned routes will need to be un-pinned then re-pinned in order to sync over to your Garmin device.
Select the compatible Edge you will be using with Ride with GPS.
Search for Ride with GPS and install the app.
On your Edge, open the IQ store by selecting the IQ button from the device menu. Refer to your owner's manual and search "Connect IQ" for specific steps for your device.
Enter the Device Code provided on your Edge and Submit.
Select Confirm to link your RWGPS account with your Edge.
Choose a route to download by selecting Recent Routes or Pinned Routes.
Select Download and Ride to save the route and begin navigating immediately or select Download and your course will be found in the saved courses menu of your device.
