Setting Up Power Alerts When Using the Garmin Running Power App on Your Garmin Watch
Garmin Watches That Use Connect IQ Widget
Garmin running power apps that are installed from the Connect IQ store to your compatible watch provide the option to set up power alerts. This option is accessed from the settings of the app. For instructions on accessing the running power app settings, see: Accessing Settings for Garmin Running Power Apps.
To use alerts for running power, the running power data field must be the only data field on the data screen (1 field layout). Note that the watch must be displaying this data screen in order for you to receive the out of range notification. When your running power goes out of your target range, there will be an audible tone and a banner showing “High” or “Low”.
Alerts can be used at the same time as running power zones.
Garmin Watches That Support Native Running Power
Some Garmin watches feature native running power and do not require the use of a Connect IQ app. You can set up power alerts to be notified when you reach a specified power zone.
For more information about which watches support native running power, see or your owner's manual.
