Tacx Boost Resistance Lever Replacement Instructions

This content provides detailed information on the process of replacing the resistance lever assembly for your Tacx® Boost trainer.

Tools Needed

  • Torx T20 screwdriver.


Parts Needed

  • Tacx Service, Switch part, Rebranded Booster (S11-04001-10).

    • You will need to contact Garmin Product Support to obtain this part.


Replacement Instructions

Below are step by step instructions detailing the replacement process. Before starting, ensure your bike is removed from the trainer and the resistance lever is detached from the handlebar.

Step 1: Remove Resistance Unit Cover

  1. Using a Torx T20 screwdriver, remove the screw holding the resistance unit cover to the resistance unit.

  2. Pull the cover away from the resistance unit to remove it.

Step 2:Install Replacement Resistance Unit Cover

  1. Locate the protruding tabs on the resistance unit cover and their corresponding indents on the resistance unit.

  2. Align the tabs with the indents, and fit the cover onto the resistance unit until it is flush.

  3. Install the screw, tightening until the cover is securely fastened to the resistance unit and cannot be pulled away.

  4. Adjust the resistance lever to ensure it cycles through the full adjustment range.

This completes the resistance lever replacement process.
