Sharing BlueChart® g2, BlueChart®g3 or BlueChart® g2, BlueChart®g3 Vision maps across the Garmin® Marine Network

BlueChart® g2, BlueChart® g3 and BlueChart® g2, BlueChart® g3 Vision mapping is offered as downloadable content (DLC) or as a pre-programmed microSD/SD card. Both versions can be viewed on compatible chartplotters connected to the Garmin® marine network with the use of a single mapping card.

The DLC version of these maps are unlocked to a specific device. This means, if you insert this card into a device it was not unlocked to, the maps will not appear on the device or be sent across the network. If this card is inserted into the correct device, which it was unlocked to, the maps can then be shared across the Garmin marine network.

Pre-programmed cards can be inserted into any device as they aren't locked to a specific unit. 

Note: Devices 2013 and newer will not share mapping with devices 2012 and older.
