Aera Does Not Show as a Drive on My Computer
Sometimes when an aera® portable GPS is plugged into a Windows computer, the drive letter that is assigned to the aera will conflict with an existing drive letter, causing the aera to not show up on the computer.
Follow the Steps Below to Change the Drive Letter of the Aera Device:
- Right-click on Computer.
- Select Manage.
- Select Disk Management.
- Find the mass storage device and right-click on it to change the drive letter that is causing the conflict.
- Select Change.
- Select a drive letter that will not cause a conflict and select OK.
- If given the option on the aera screen, confirm that you wish to enter mass storage mode.
