GPS Accuracy of the inReach Mini 2

Today's GPS receivers are extremely accurate, thanks to their parallel multi-channel design. The inReach® Mini 2 handheld features a multi-GNSS receiver which allows it to connect with multiple satellite constellations for a quicker GPS fix.

Using multi-GNSS can reduce battery life more quickly than using GPS only.

Certain atmospheric factors and other sources of error (tall buildings, dense tree cover, etc.) can still affect the accuracy of GPS receivers. Generally, users will see accuracy within 5 to 10 meters (16 to 33 feet) under normal conditions, with up to date firmware. To update your firmware, see - Updating the Software on Your inReach Mini 2.
