What Does the Status or Error Message in My Garmin Drive App Mean?

TIP:  Many Bluetooth connection issues can be solved by restarting your Garmin Dash Cam™ and restarting your phone.  Give this a try before proceeding with the following troubleshooting options. When connecting or using your Garmin dash cam with the Garmin Drive app an error or message may display.

Below are possible Garmin Drive app errors or messages and why they are happening:

Bluetooth:

"Dash Cam is Connected to a Different Mobile Device"

Your Garmin Dash Cam device has the ability to be paired using the Garmin Drive app on multiple phones.

NOTE: Pairing is not possible when actively connected to another phone.

While actively connected to multiple phones, the ability to connect to the device's internal Wi-Fi for functions such as Live View, play a video and apply software updates is limited to one phone at a time.

For more info and troubleshooting see: Pairing a Garmin Dash Cam with Multiple Phones.
