Formatting the Memory Card on an Automotive Device

Sometimes a microSD card may require formatting before it can be used with a Garmin device. A microSD card 64 GB or larger has to be formatted on the device itself. 

To Format the Memory Card:

1. Touch Settings

2. Touch Device

3. Touch Storage & USB

4. Select your memory card

5. Touch the menu button 

6. Touch Settings or Storage Settings

7. Touch Format

8. Touch ERASE & FORMAT or FORMAT SD CARD

9. Touch Done

The device will format the card and it will be ready to use.
