Issues Signing Into the Garmin Explore Website

If there are issues signing into your Garmin Explore™ website account, try resetting the password at www.garmin.com/account

Additionally, the Garmin Explore website has been updated to use the Garmin single sign-on system. Depending on whether or not an account on Garmin.com existed, the sign-in credentials for the Garmin Explore website account may have changed and “An error occurred while processing your request” message may be received.

NOTE: If the account information and password are set to autofill, try clearing the browser cache and resetting the password. For steps on clearing the cache for various internet browsers, see - Clear the Browser History, Cache, Temporary Internet Files, or Open a Private Window.

Why the Login Credentials May Have Changed

  • If there is NO previous Garmin account: There will be no change to the login credentials for the Garmin Explore website. Continue signing in as before. The same credentials will now also allow logging in to Garmin.com.

  • If BOTH a Garmin Explore website account and a Garmin account with the same email address exists: The Garmin account password will be the new password to sign in to the Garmin Explore website.

    • If the password cannot be recalled or is needing to be changed back to what it was previously:

      1. Select Sign In and enter the email the account was created with.

      2. Select the Forgot? link and follow the steps to reset your password.

  • If there is an existing Garmin account, but no Garmin Explore website account: When setting up an inReach® satellite communicator, go to the Garmin Explore website and choose Sign In, then enter the credentials for Garmin.com. 

  • If there is currently no inReach or Garmin account: Upon creating a new account, the login will work for both the Garmin Explore website and Garmin.com.
