What Do the Control Menu Icons on My Fitness Watch Mean?

You can add, remove, and change the order of the shortcut menu options in the controls menu on compatible devices. For instructions on customizing the controls menu, refer to your owner's manual. The following chart shows the available shortcut menu options and the icons for each shortcut:

Alarm Clock Alarms - Used to access alarm settings
Request AssistanceAssistance - Used to request assistance (see Setting Up Incident Detection and Assistance Features on a Garmin Fitness Device)
SunBrightness - Used to adjust the display brightness
MoonDo Not Disturb - Used to enable or disable Do Not Disturb mode
orange phone with question markFind My Phone - Used to locate a lost mobile device that is paired using Bluetooth and currently within range
flashlightFlashlight - Makes the screen display fully white
credit cardsWallet - Used to access the Garmin Pay feature
padlockLock Screen - Used to lock the touchscreen to prevent inadvertent screen touches
signal barsLTE - Used to enable or disable 4G LTE (only on vivoactive 3 Music [Verizon])
music noteMusic Controls - Used to control music playback (this icon will appear differently if you are using a third-party music provider like Spotify or Deezer)
phone with bluetooth symbolPhone - Used to enable or disable the connection with a paired smartphone
power symbolPower - Used to power the watch on or off (this shortcut cannot be removed)
red pinSave Location - Used to save your current location
globe and clockSet Time With GPS - Used to update the time and date settings on the watch
stopwatchStopwatch - Used to access the stopwatch function
blue arrowsSync - Used to sync and upload your data
timerTimer - Used to set a Timer
