microSD Memory Card Compatibility for VIRB Ultra 30 Action Cameras

The VIRB Action Cameras rely on a microSD card to store all videos, photos, G-Metrix data and track information. A microSD card must be inserted before the device can be used. 

Use a card with the recommended class and size before capturing video for the best performance.

microSD Card Size:

• The maximum card size the VIRB Ultra 30 devices can hold is 128 gigabytes (GB)
• Garmin recommends using at least a 2GB card
  • While cards below 2GB can be used, they will fill up quickly and are typically slower speeds

microSD Card Class/Speed:

• Use a class 10 or higher card such as UHS (ultra high speed)
• Recording at a high resolution and frame rate requires a high-speed microSD memory card to ensure the best video quality
• The speed microSD memory cards can read or write data is designated by the class of the card
  
• MicroSD cards lower than class 10, such as class 4 or 6, may experience stutter, pixelation, or lag in the video quality

The following microSD cards have been tested and verified to work with your device. microSD cards not listed may or may not work.
