Door Cover Replacement Instructions for the Tread 2 and zūmo XT2

This instructional FAQ provides steps to replace the microSD card and USB-C rubber door covers for the Tread® 2 and zūmo® XT2 GPS navigators.

Items Included with the Door Cover

Two screws (only one screw is needed to install the door cover), retainer, rubber USB or SD card door.

1. Power off the device

2. Place the microfiber towel down on the table and lay the device down on it

3. Place a piece of tape over the port to prevent debris from entering

4. Loosen the screw threaded through the retainer and remove it

5. Remove the retainer using small needle-nose pliers or tweezers

6. Flip the device over and gently shake it to remove any leftover material

7. Place the new retainer onto the tether of the rubber door, with the shorter prong face up

8. Insert the screw through the hole on the retainer.

9. Line up the screw and retainer with the device, then insert the tether into the hole

10. Tighten the screw to secure the retainer and door. Avoid overtightening to prevent stripping the screw.

11. Remove the piece of tape covering the port

12. Press the door into place
