Short Battery Life for the GHC 10 Autopilot Remote
GHP Autopilots can use a GHC 10 Remote for wireless controls of the autopilot. The remote requires two AA batteries. If the batteries are dying quickly, locking the remote will help conserve the battery life. To lock the remote, press the Lock button. When the remote is locked, the back-light will timeout quicker than when it is unlocked. This will reduce the drain of the batteries.
Locking the remote will cause all buttons other than the MOB to be non-functional. The MOB button can still be pressed at anytime. If any button other than the MOB button is pressed the remote will beep.
To unlock the remote, press the Lock button one more time. The remote will be back to full functionality.
