Why is my GXM 30/30A antenna not receiving the XM signal?

The GXM 30/30A XM Smart Antenna must be under an open sky with a view of the Southern sky to acquire signals from the XM satellites. You must also have an activated XM weather and/or radio service ("Aviator" type XM subscription) to your specific XM radio ID number which can be found on the bottom side of the GXM 30/30A Smart Antenna. You can contact XM radio at 1-800-985-9200 to activate the weather subscription. If you own the GPSMAP 396, be sure that the unit software has been updated to the latest version.
