My Approach S12 is in the Wrong Language

If your Approach® S12 watch is set to the wrong language, the below instructions will guide you through selecting the correct language. If the language is incorrect on your first usage of the watch, follow the steps for a Factory Reset.

Changing the Language

1. From the time of day, press OK.

2. Press DOWN 3 times.

3. Press OK 2 times.

4. Press UP until you see the language you want in the middle.

5. Press OK.

If those steps do not work, attempt the factory reset below.

Factory Reset

A factory reset will delete all user data on the watch and revert all settings back to the factory defaults.

1. Hold UP until screen goes blank (takes about 10-15 seconds).

2. Hold BACK and OK.

3. Hold UP until the Garmin® logo appears.

4. Continue holding BACK and OK for 10 seconds.

5. Release OK.

6. Wait 5 seconds then release BACK.

7. Wait for the watch to reset (can take up to 5 minutes).

You will be prompted to select a language after the watch resets.
