NOTE: If your Approach S40 or S42 has had Activity Tracking enabled, through use or manually, the language option will be the sixth option in the menu.

  4. Scroll to and touch the language you desire.

You have now changed the language of your Approach S40 or S42 watch.

Resetting the Approach S40 or S42

If you were unable to change the language on your watch using the steps above, you can perform a factory reset. You will be prompted to select a language after the reset.

  1. With the watch powered off, press the button for a second to power it on (a triangle will appear).

  2. After the first vibration occurs, immediately hold the button.

IMPORTANT: If you wait too long after the vibration to hold the button, the watch will load to the Settings menu on the watch.

  3. Wait for a second vibration and release the button.

  4. Wait for a third vibration and hold the button.

  5. Wait for a fourth vibration and release the button.

  6. Wait for the watch to reset (this can take up to 15 minutes).

The language selection screen will appear after the reset completes.

NOTE: Any scorecards saved to the watch will remain on the watch after a factory reset.
