Changing the Battery Status Reading on My Garmin Watch

The battery status reading for your Garmin watch can be viewed from the menu, and can show remaining battery life as an estimated number of days or hours, or as a percentage. The following watches offer two different methods of displaying how much battery power the watch has left:

The default method for the Garmin watches will show the remaining charge as a number of days or hours. This is called Battery Estimate. The Forerunner watches listed above will show the percentage of battery life. This is called Battery Percentage. If you would like to change this view on your watch, this can be adjusted at any time in the Power Management settings.

Changing Power Management Settings

1. Hold UP/MENU (middle left button) to enter the Main Menu.

2. Scroll down to or select  Settings.

3. Select Power Manager.

4. Toggle ON/Off the options for Battery Percentage and Battery Estimate as preferred.
