Disabling Windows Defender Antivirus and Firewall Protection

To temporarily disable Windows Defender antivirus and firewall protection on your computer due to an error in the Chart Installer software, follow the steps below.

To disable virus protection:

1. Select the Start menu
2. Search for Windows Security
3. Select Virus & threat protection
4. Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings
5. Under Real-time protection, change the setting to Off

To disable firewall protection:

1. Open your Start menu
2. Search for Windows Security
3. Navigate to Firewall & network protection
4. Select Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off
5. Choose Turn off Windows Defender Firewall for both Private and public networks
6. Click OK

Close the Chart Installer software and then reopen it to refresh the screen and proceed to start downloading again.
