Computer does not Recognize VIRB
The VIRB action cameras utilize the microSD card to store user data and system files. If the computer is not detecting the device, it is possibly caused by the card.
When experiencing connectivity issues:
- Confirm a memory card is in the device.
- If the memory card was formatted on the computer, the device may need to be power cycled:
- Locate the memory card drive or volume
- Safely eject the memory card from the computer
- Unplug the device
- Power on the device
- Wait for the device to boot up
- Reconnect the device to the computer
- If the issue is not resolved, utilize another card as the current card may be failing.
Confirming the device has a functional card during boot up will ensure the proper files are available and allow Garmin software products to utilize the VIRB camera.
