Setting up a Replacement vivoactive 3 Series Watch

If you received a replacement vivoactive 3 series watch from Garmin, you will need to take some steps to get the replacement device connected to the Garmin Connect app. It is important to follow these steps in order to ensure that you remove the old device properly, and add the replacement device properly. 

Step 1. Remove the Old Device From the Garmin Connect App and Your Phone's Bluetooth Settings:

Step 2. Pair the Replacement Device to Your Smartphone Through the Garmin Connect App:

  1. Power on your replacement vivoactive 3 series watch and place it into Bluetooth pairing mode.

    • If the watch displays a Language selection screen, the watch is in setup mode. Selecting your language setting will enable Bluetooth pairing mode. You can then proceed to step 3. 

    • If the watch displays the time or any other screen, you must enable pairing mode on the watch. Steps to enable pairing mode are covered here: Turning Bluetooth Pairing Mode on for a vivoactive 3 Series Device. Once Bluetooth pairing mode is enabled, proceed to step 3.

  2. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  3. Access the menu by selecting More (bottom right).

  4. Scroll down and select Garmin Devices.

  5. Select Add Device.

  6. The Garmin Connect app will state "Ready to connect your vivoactive 3 series watch";

  7. Select Connect it.

  8. Input the six-digit code from the display on the watch into the prompt on the smartphone.

  9. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the setup of your device.
